5th year, HERE I COME!

A small briefing was held before the time came for each of them to finally receive the results of their labour. I was the second to be called out. With cold & sweaty palms & trembling legs, I walked to where my Form Teachers were & sat in front of them. For some reason, I couldn't get the wide smile off my face. I had that excited feeling all of a sudden. As if I knew in my heart that I would be happy even though right that very moment, anything could have happened. Pass or Fail. Mdm Jayanthi finally spoke with a smile on her face, "Hi Andrea, great to see you again! Don't worry, relax. You did very well." She handed me my results slip & I saw the grades I got for each subject. I wanted to count my total points but I was still too excited to get my brain working. I kept counting, "12 points. 12 points" But I was unsure... I didn't believe it at first. Fortunately, Ms Tan, my other Form Teacher confirmed it for me. Yes, I was right. 12 points! Unbelievable. I wanted to cry & jump & scream & laugh & go ballistic all at once but all I could react was a "yiiiiii."

I am eligible for Sec 5! I am eligible for sec 5! & what's more fantastic is I got 12 points! When I took my Preliminary results before our Nationals, I got 17 points. Who would've thought I could get 12 points!

I was so overjoyed I felt like I could thank God all day long! I not only made myself proud but I made my parents & my older brothers proud :D
